2. Cornwall (3-0) — The Dragons have been magnificent this week, thanks in part to their above-average pitching squad. Logan Marquez and Tyler Rodriguez teamed up to throw a combined no-hitter in an 8-1 non-league win over Chester. Greg Shaw threw a complete shutout, allowing just one hit in a 3-0 win over Pine Bush. 4. Pinewood (5-1) — Pine Bush has gone 3-1 in its last four games, earning wins over Minisink Valley, Goshen and Washingtonville. Most recently, Michael Weed pitched five scoreless innings and picked up the win in a 5-4 win over Minisink Valley. He was also consistent at the plate. Before: 5

5. Monroe-Woodbury (4-1) — Owen White led the Crusaders to a 13-2 win over Port Jervis. He pitched five innings, allowing one hit, one run, and sat five via one strikeout. He also helped his own cause by hitting a two-run home run. Kyle McDermott came to close the door. The Crusaders also saw contributions from Brandon Tarasenko, Alex Exarchakis and JJ Kelleher. 6. Newburgh Free Academy (4-3) — The Goldbacks have lost three of their last four after facing teams in the Mingo Bay tournament in South Carolina. Newburgh picked up a 3-1 win over Loris (SC). Dylan Iorlano had three RBIs and Tyler Slaughter picked up the win. Previously: 1

7. Chester (4-2) — The Hambletonians have gone 2-2 over the past week. They had a big 11-1 win over O’Neill, as Andre Jenkins picked up the win and Jimmy Lusignan added four RBIs. Throwing Nolasco was also a big help at home plate. Before: 6

8. Wallkill (2-1) — The Panthers picked up a big win in South Carolina against Roosevelt, as Bryce DeGroat picked up the win. Wallkill took the lead in the top of the seventh inning in a 2-2 game when an error scored Jacob Maraday. Before: 8

9. Burke’s Catholic (2-1) — Burke Catholic has won two of its last three games. Jake Wolff, Kyle Ketcham and Jake DeMaro all shone for the Eagles. Previously: Uncategorized
